The 2008 Presidential Election was one of the most important political elections to ever take place in America. The first black man was running to become president in a political election. Not only was it huge for America, it was a big deal for world politics and many people from all over the world followed this political election.

When Presidential candidate Barack Obama won the political election in November, people from around the world rejoiced. Other countries were jubilant over the political election of Barack Obama as president of the United States of America. World politics stations have been covering the 2008 political elections just as much as political news stations in the U.S. World politics and political elections around the world have always been covered by U.S news stations, but world politics stations covered the 2008 political election more than ever. World politics leaders have really praised Obama and were glad he won the 2008 political election. The UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, said that Barack Obama’s win of the 2008 political election was “historic” and that they both “share many values”. France’s Nicolas Sarkozy said that the political election had raised “enormous hope”. World politics have never been so focused on a political election like they were for the 2008 Presidential Election for the United States. That political election really changed world politics and brought together the whole world. World politics respondents in Canada, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Australia and South Africa were reported to have paid the most attention to world politics and the 2008 political election, while world politics respondents in Brazil, Russia, India, Taiwan and Poland were polled in paying the least attention. The 2008 election was different for world politics, because support for Barack Obama was significantly stronger in other nations, as opposed to America, where support for both political candidates was about equal. World politics main issues are economy, poverty and the environment, and Barack Obama wanted to make a change for the better for those issues, making him more likeable in world politics. The 2008 Presidential election wasn’t just big around the world, it had a major impact on the United States of America. Even though voters were basically split down the middle on whom to vote for, it was a monumental election. Barack Obama was the first black man running for president and he won. Barack Obama is the first black president of the United States of America. He plans to change America for the better and help those who can’t help themselves. The 2008  political election has changed the United States of America forever and is just the beginning to see change in the White House. Hilary Clinton was the first woman to run as President and Barack Obama was the first black man. Hopefully this change leads to more people from all different genders, races and backgrounds to run for political office.

This political election has changed world politics along with United States politics. World politics are very important and should be followed by Americans. People living in America must acknowledge what’s going on in different countries.
