Political culture can be shaped by many things. International politics play a big role in shaping the political culture of each country. Political culture can create the basis for political change and is unique for each state or country. International politics are constantly changing and shaping the political views of people around the world.

Political culture is the way a nation views, perceives and practice politics. The term political culture was brought about by Gabriel Almond and Sidney Verbain the late 50s to promote the American political system. International politics scientists like Lehmbruch and Lijpart both argued that the political systems in Austria and the Netherlands were better off than the United States. But Almond and Verba basically formed three types of political culture, parochial, subject and participant. Basically they revolve around the concept that people are either not interested in politics, have knowledge in them, and people who are able to influence the government. International politics is affected by political culture all the time. For example, the 2008 Presidential election had an impact on international politics. Many countries all over the world paid close attention to the 2008 Presidential Election. The Bush administration not only effected the United States, but international politics as well. The whole world suffered from mistakes made during the Bush Administration and wanted to see a different United States President in 2008. International politics stations followed the 2008 Election closely and really were hoping for Democratic candidate Barack Obama. Barack Obama was the first black man running for President of the United States and he ended up winning. International politics stations were covering election night just as closely as the American politics stations were. People from all over the world rejoiced when Barack Obama was elected as President of the United States of America. International politics leaders stated that he was the change that America and the rest of the world needed. Our political culture has changed, in America and regarding international politics. The political culture in America is different now. We have gone through 8 years of bad mistakes including war and economic crisis and want change. More people have been affected by the government’s decisions in the last 8 years and now more and more people are starting to get involved. More and more people cast their vote in the 2008 Election and realized that they need to count on the government to fix these mistakes that were made. Political culture has also changed because more and more people of different gender, race and background have been running for political positions. During the 2008 presidential election not only did a black man run for president, a woman ran for president and another woman ran for vice president. This has definitely shaped political culture in America and around the world.

International politics has changed due to the recent election in America. It changed political culture all over the world and now more and more countries are getting involved in international politics.
