Which political party is better at winning a political debate?

Political Debate

Political Debate

Since there were Presidential elections, there have been political debates. Each political party must take part in a political debate to provide the public with their stance on certain issues. Some people may have different opinions on which political party should win the political debate. During the 2008 Presidential election, each political party got to take part in many political debates, where they defended their political viewpoints and tried to outshine the other political party.

The 2008 Presidential election was a very important election. For the first time in history, a black man was running for president and women were also running as president and vice presidential candidates. Barack Obama was in the political party known as the Democratic Party and John McCain was running for the political party known as the Republican Party. Both presidential candidates had to take part in political debates throughout the election. They both did a good job in defending their political party and opinion, while providing the public with their stance on political issues. For every political debate, there are rules that a candidate should always remember. These rules will help a candidate through a political debate, they will even help any common person win a debate over anything. The first rule a candidate of a political party should follow in a political debate is prepare. The candidates in the 2008 Presidential elections both practiced numerous hours on their speeches and made sure they were ready for any question that would be thrown at them. During a political debate, and any debate for that matter, you should always be prepared. Practicing in front of a mirror and watching other political debates can help a candidate do better. Another rule a candidate should follow is to stick to their message. The media and public will notice if a candidate changes their stance on any issue. If you have a message you should stick with it. Ending the political debate with a restatement will reinforce the position of the political party and candidate. Also, political candidates in any political party must be aware of the issues. No matter what political party the candidate is in, they should study and master the views of all the other political parties. Research is key in a political debate. Finally, a candidate must acknowledge their opponent’s position. Regarding the 2008 Presidential Election, most polls and reviews stated that Barack Obama had won the debate. John McCain was said to have fumbled through the economic portion of the debate, while Obama was clear and decisive. John McCain did better in the foreign affairs portion and won over people by repeatedly calling Barack Obama “inexperienced”. But presidential candidate Obama did better discussing the domestic front and his comparison of McCain to the failed Bush administration had a big impact on voters. Barack Obama did win the Presidency in 2008 and is now President of the United States of America.

A political debate is a big deal, no matter what political party you are affiliated with. Political debates give the public insight to what each political party stands for. The best way for a candidate to express themselves is through a political debate. When candidates give speeches they obviously state which issues they want to fix, but only during a political debate is when they really get the chance to battle their opponent.

What the political polls say about a political campaign

People can follow the political polls to see how each candidate’s political campaign is going. The 2008 Presidential Election was covered more than any other election and the political polls were constantly changing in that election. Political polls really help determine the popular candidate in a political campaign. There are other political polls that cover other issues than just a political campaign including economy, national security, congress, taxes, senate, foreign relations, global warming, religion, bailout, abortion, social security, ethnicity, recession, consumer confidence, environment, healthcare, gay marriage and much more. There are many political polls but we must consider several factors before accepting the polls. This is especially important during a political campaign. Polls for political campaigns, like other political polls, have a margin of error of +/-3 percent. This means that If 50 percent of the people taking part polled “a” and 47 percent polled “b” then there is no statistical difference between the two viewpoints of the political campaign poll. Another factor in political campaign polls is the people that are polling. Most political polls that poll … Continue reading
