American politics have always been covered in schools around the nation. But now, race and politics are a subject that has been brought into schools and American politics classes. Children are learning more about the race and politics that shaped the country they live in.
American politics covers the federal government, state government, legislature, presidency, judiciary power, elections, political parties, and political culture of the United States of America. Schools all over the nation have been teaching American politics classes since education started. Now, race and politics are being covered more than ever in schools. Children are learning about issues concerning race and politics and different race and politic laws and cases. Now that America nominated its first black President, race and politics are being discussed more in schools all over the nation. More and more kids are taking American politics classes to learn how race and politics play a major role in their lives. Children’s opinions could be swayed easily by the media’s coverage of race and politics, but in their American politics classes they learn the real truth of race and politics and why they are so important to our country. American politics is a serious class that helps kids learns the ins and outs of America’s government, since the beginning, starting with George Washington and now the most recent president, Barack Obama. The 2008 Presidential Election was monumental in American politics. Never has race and politics been discussed more than in 2008. And children are learning more about the power of race in political situations. More children are voicing their opinions. The more and more they learn about politics, the more and more they can express their feelings on certain situations. For example, a Florida teenager who is president of the NYRA’s southeast Florida chapter says that more teenagers should be allowed to vote, since 80% of them hold jobs before they graduate high school. This is incredible. There are many children who are learning a lot from discussing race and politics in the classroom. These American politics classes are really helping children get a grasp on the truth about race and politics. These American politics classes really allow children to learn about the history of America and where it has been going in terms of race and politics. Children, as young as kindergarteners and as old as high school seniors, are discussing American politics in a way they never have before. Their knowledge can help them form better opinions regarding race and politics and hopefully the children can spread their knowledge to others and help future generations get a better grasp on where American politics should be heading.
American politics have changed. More and more children are now learning about race and politics in the classroom and gaining knowledge about how American politics work and how they shaped our history and will continue to shape the future of America and the rest of the world.
